Use of headers

The first level of headers has just one equal-symbol (=) and should be used before entering the second level header. Example:

= Header, layer 1 =

== Header, layer 2 ==

=== Header, layer 3 ===

Use of TOC

{{TOC}} should be used every time you structure content by headers. It then appears aligns on the right side with text flowing around it. Looks much better! -- Paxton 18:58, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Added Features

Header numeration

The numeration of the TOC should also appear in the headers of the articles, like:

1. Header, layer 1

1.1. Header, layer 2

1.1.1. Header, layer 3

A longer article should have a structure of as many layers as necessary. Numeration helps keeping oversight. Look at user:Paxton/System for an example of a page that needs such a feature.-- Paxton 18:58, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

This is already possible, but not default. You can switch this "Auto-number headings" setting on and off yourself in your "user preferences" page. See MetaWikiPedia:MediaWiki_User's_Guide:_Setting_preferences#Advanced_options for more information. --Kebap 19:45, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
