Here we will organize all the arguments of how the monetary system is defended and how it's argued against. Then we can show which side weighs more to determine which side of the fence makes sense. If you support RBE, then you can looks at the PROS of the monetary system and see how they can be used in a transitional sense and if you are not for RBE, then you can look at the CONS of the monetary system and show people to avoid problematic issues in the current system we are in now. Either way, this can benefit for all of us now matter what side of the fence you are on.

Pros About The Monetary System

1. Money helps measure out how much something is worth.

2. If people are not equal without equal purchasing power, then an equal money system should be advocated.

3. If it is not money that people need and it is access to resources, then this would just make people hoard more.

4. Just because you don't know how to find a good deal or how to bargain with people doesn't mean the monetary system is evil.

5. Money doesn't control the behavior of those with limited purchasing power, if that was the case- then no one would steal and those who needed things to survive would just starve and die as example. Human beings don't give up when their bodies are in need of food, water and shelter. So this brings up human nature argument.

6. The monetary system is able to transfer the need of a skill or service to an individual who has the skill to an individual who doesn't in order of accomplishing a goal.

7. When someone is trying to find a better deal, once an item of some kind is offered to him or her/her or him, the purchaser can look somewhere else to find a better deal. There's freedom when it comes to choice of purchase. Therefore there is independence of what you can get oppose to a computer telling you what you can have.

8. The benefits of technology are available to everyone with purchasing power because people can purchase products from individuals too, not just from stores and technology is advancing always. There is no need to pretend that it doesn't.

9. If the monetary system crippled technology as those who wish for a money-less society think it does, then we wouldn't have iPods, iPhones and the like.

10. Through division of labor in the monetary system that helps create the products we have today, it is still done through collaboration and making sure all products are made available to as many people as possible.

11. Money offers incentive therefore making sure that people aren't lazy and work to earn. The reward is being able to purchase something you worked for.

12. Money is not the root of all evil, it's a double-edge sword just like technology is.

13. Money is a unit of measurement. Eliminating money because you don't like the economy is like eliminating thermometers because you don't like the heat.

14. Eliminating money doesn't eliminate the need to allocate resources, it just makes allocating impossible since you no longer are measuring production.

Cons About The Monetary System

1. Money is just an interference between what one needs and what one is able to get. It is not money that people need, it is access to resources.

2. The use of money results in social stratification and elitism based primarily on economic disparity.

3. People are not equal without equal purchasing power.

4. Most people are slaves to jobs they do not like because they need the money.

5. There is tremendous corruption, greed, crime, embezzlement and more caused by the need for money.

6. Most laws are enacted for the benefit of corporations, which have enough money to lobby, bribe or persuade government officials to make laws that serve their interests.

7. Those who control purchasing power have greater influence.

8. Money is used to control the behavior of those with limited purchasing power.

9. When things are scarce, prices increase.

10. There is tremendous waste of material and strain on available resources from superficial design changes for the newest and latest fads each year in order to create continuous markets for manufacturers.

11. There is tremendous environmental degradation due to the high cost of better methods of waste disposal.

12. The Earth is being plundered for profit.

13. The benefits of technology are only distributed to those with sufficient purchasing power.

14. Most important, when the corporation’s bottom line is profit- decisions in all areas are made not for the benefit of people and the environment, but primarily for the acquisition of wealth, property and power.

15. People are taken advantage of when it comes price gouging.

16. Money doesn't bring happiness.
