The PSS book project: General

Contents

The Post Scarcity Systems Book Project is an effort to collect and publish information on concepts for the time beyond capitalism, and how to get there. The focus is on systems approaches, but can also feature living movements and communes that actually realize a different way.

The first chapter should prepare the reader for the necessity of a system shift, while the main content of the book provides him with information on conceptual solutions (that prove the lack of options - as repeated over by mainstream media - to be a bad case of blindness, if not a lie) and show him how to engage in bringing about a fundamental shift.

The authors agree that the common goal of all the featured concepts and groups, transcending the global market system, is more important than their differences in strategy or layout. The authors also agree that the choice is up to the reader, whether they prefer hi-, current-, low-, or no-tech solutions.

Content creation

In order to have all chapters on the same level their content should be comparable with each other. Authors could take the following questionaire as a guideline:

  • Which are the axioms, premises & foundations of the concept?
  • How will or does life look like within that concept?
    • Which technological level are we talking about?
    • How does the social organisation/government work?
    • How does the economy look like? What is the role of money?
    • How are people's basic needs met?
  • Talk about the transition plan
    • How people can actively work towards the new paradigm
    • Which steps society as a whole must / will take towards the shift
  • Are there working, living examples, either directly connected or not?
  • Provide contact, links & Literature
